More about the place

The Limay basin covers about 26,400 km² and rises in Lake Nahuel Huapi. The Neuquén basin exceeds 30,000 km² and rises in northern Neuquén, with tributaries such as the Agrio, Trocomán, Nahueve, Curi Leuvu and Reñi Leuvu rivers.

In Neuquén, anglers use spinning, fly fishing and, from a boat, trolling; the brochure does not say which method is allowed on each stretch. On most natural watercourses the season runs from 1 November to 1 May, and native species must be released in most waters.
