It is 72 kilometers among glaciers, valleys and towers. In 2026 CONAF closed the circuit in June and July, so check the state of the trails and services on your dates. Park tickets are sold online only. A commercial source says the best time runs from October to April. For sleeping, the park offers campsites and huts with mandatory booking.

Tips before you hike

  • Dress in layers and wear a waterproof jacket and trekking footwear: mountain weather changes fast.
  • Get advice before you go: ask the park (CONAF) about trail conditions, the weather and any closures on your dates.
  • Whenever you can, hike with an authorized guide, especially if it is your first time on the route.
  • Do not approach or feed wildlife. Some animals are not used to people, such as the puma: keep your distance and tell the park rangers if you see one.
  • Tell someone your route and your return time, and carry water, food and a first-aid kit.
